The Housewright Guild (THG) is a company that really looks after the homestead. The Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm specializes in private residential property construction and management services ranging from home design to landscaping to security to pool cleaning, freeing the homeowner from having to look after all those tasks

Many aspects of THG’s management services are completely automated. A proprietary computer interface monitors all these elements, automatically detects when one of them needs looking after and/or schedules routine maintenance. The appropriate vendor or contractor is then dispatched to the home.

How did THG put this together?

In creating this unique business model, THG needed to utilize a Web interface that connected company to client. Our development team got right on the job, and created a custom Web-based application to perform all the required duties.

Concurrently, our IT experts went to work on devising a technology platform suited to THG’s special needs. Once the platform was built out, we acted as its manager, allowing THG in turn to manage their own clients and leave the technology to us.

Vertical APS also developed all the content for and acts as the host of THG’s customer-facing Web site, which provides THG with invaluable marketing possibilities, 24/7. Potential customers can visit the site to view real-life examples of THG’s work and find out how they, too, can benefit from THG’s services.
